The corporate jet market has fallen off a cliff, hedge fund managers are so far below the high water mark they make no money and now this!

What’s with Congress anyway? First of all, it’s only $165 million, not 450. Second of all AIG has reduced the overhang from 57 trillion to a mere 1.7 trillion. A lousy $165 million is a bargain in comparison.

The original idea was that rich people would probably not be heavily dependent on OASDI. Hence, we can put on a cap. Now the tides are shifting back to “Tax the Rich!”

I’m sure inspired. Leave it to Barack to think up something original and think outside the box.

Personally, as a programmer I would like to see them just remove the cap on OASDI. Not only is it the easiest solution to implement, but also it would be appear to be the fairest fix for low-middle class taxpayers. Any tiered OASDI tax would just burden payroll professionals.

How about the converse? Would you reconsider exercising if they posted a sign at the gym on each machine?
Bicycling – stationary, moderate = 476 calories in 1 hr
It would take 2hrs to overcome eating that bacon double cheeseburger… Hardly seems worth it !
